Born on a sunny autumn's day in 1988 and raised in the fourth largest city of Sweden (i.e. very small city) called Uppsala. I was the second child in a family of four. If I had been a millennium child I would have spoken farsi and finnish fluently. But since my parents didn't know better at the time, like the fact that children can learn up to 4 different languages simultaneously, I missed out on the whole multilingual childhood. But I'm not bitter.
When I was a 16-year-old high school drop-out I took a "What the f* should you do with your life" test. Surprisingly enough, it said copywriter. I immediately thought of stiff and boring nerds that wrote some kind of copyright manuals, mostly because I didn't know what a copywriter was. I just thought brands did their own in-house communication and that some were good and some were bad. I didn't realize that there was a whole mutual admiration society called "the ad world". So I started to google the shit out of it and applied for internships all over the world but ended up at an agency about 500 meters from home. But it was a start at least.
Yada yada yada. I did some more internships, applied to Berghs School of Communication, started working after graduating and now 14 years have passed since I discovered what a copywriter was and decided to become one.
What I love the most about it except for the fact that I get to learn a lot about things I'd never ever read about if I had decided to become a pediatrician or rock star, is that I get to work with smart, funny and inspiring people every day. Both colleagues and clients. And I get to use storytelling, humor, emotion and technology in my work to create insightful and meaningful communication. So basically, I'm doing what I love.
